The Ueckermünde Zoo is known far beyond the borders of the Vorpommern-Greifswald district. The facility was founded in 1962 and has continued to develop since then. What began as a local aquarium with a few additional native animals is now impressive. The enclosures for the individual animal species are spacious, and you can also come into direct contact with many of the animals. The church is an elongated plastered building with a southern and northern porch, which was consecrated in 1766. In 1866, a neo-Gothic, richly structured west tower made of brick was added.
