The Kreuzstein am Rothenberg is a historical hall monument and stands on a once important north-south connection between Staffelberg and Ehrenbürg. The cross shown on the sandstone to the path shows a so-called Templar cross, which is placed on a staff like a lecture cross. A so-called Lazarus cross can be seen on the back.
