Roland fountain is the popular popular name for the fountain on the historic market square in Hildesheim. The basin of the octagonal stick fountain from the Renaissance consists of eight sandstone slabs. Six of them have reliefs depicting the deeds of the Twelve Good Heroes, the other two heraldic tablets.
