The Protestant church of St. Peter and Paul is a rural Baroque church, as they were numerous around 1700 in the outskirts of Erfurt. The nave and choir were built in 1703 and 1704. The church tower followed in the years 1729-1731. When it was built, the church was on the edge of the village. Source: kirche-stotternheim.de/kirchgemeinde-stotternheim

The color of the church interior was designed by the painter and graphic artist Gert Weber from Gräfenhain. The three choir windows were also designed by Gert Weber. The windows on the right and left are dedicated to the apostles Peter and Paul. In the middle is the crucified man. The cross is transparent and allows a clear view of the resurrection scene indicated in the middle window.
