On September 14, 1817, the poet Hans Theodor Woldsen Storm was born in this house - Markt 9. His father was the lawyer Johann Casimir Storm (1790-1874), his mother Lucie, née Woldsen (1797-1879). In 1818, the father sold the house and moved with the family to Neustadt 56. The house at Markt 9 is the setting for the novella "Drüben am Markt".
