On September 14, 1817, the poet Hans Theodor Woldsen Storm was born in this house - Markt 9. His father was the lawyer Johann Casimir Storm (1790-1874), his mother Lucie, née Woldsen (1797-1879). The father sold the house in 1818 and moved the family to Neustadt 56. The house at Markt 9 is the setting for the novella “Over on the Market”.
