The Schönwieskopf can be reached via a broad ridge path from the summit of the Schwalbenwand. From the summit cross you have a great view of the Hohe Tauern. The trail leads from here to the Statzerhaus. In summer you can find cows and goats grazing on the lush slopes up here.
