The Tschingelsee is not a real lake, but more of a wide gravel bed that fills with water depending on the weather. It is really exciting to watch the stream find its way through the gravel. In between there are green islands of reeds and grass.

A beautiful spot in the Kiental at the foot of the Griesalp.
As the river has brought a lot of material with it over the years and deposited it on the plain, the name Tschingelsee is no longer quite appropriate. You can only make out a lake if there is a lot of water and a good imagination. It is more of a huge gravel lake, crossed by countless small and large rivers.

Unique meadow landscape that was created after a landslide in 1972. Currently silting up, as around 10cm of material is washed down from the mountain every year.
