Cycling
The village Fischbach was first mentioned on 16 October 1312. Fischbach was then between the abbey areas Hersfeld and Fulda. The place was in the Buchenau Amt Schildschlag, which belonged to the Abbey Hersfeld and from 1648 to the county Hesse.
On 1 August 1972 Fischbach was incorporated as part of the territorial reform in Hesse in the municipality Hauneck.
