The view is very, very nice. You have to be aware that you have to scramble a lot. Up stairs, down stairs, sometimes narrow and slippery. Definitely sturdy shoes, no fear of heights, not recommended for children under 5-6 years. There are no railings at the top. Those who are physically limited in mobility should not do it. I have hip problems and I just got over it.
One step was missing and I had my problems, especially as the iron fastening of the missing step protruded from the ground and I didn't dare to jump. My husband supported me and almost injured himself.

This platform is below the Rauenstein service area, on the Rauenstein. In good weather you have a nice view of the table mountains.
