    Very nice tour.
If you have a bit of stamina, it is definitely recommended - a must for hikers on a Madeira vacation.

The most beautiful hike I have ever made. A MUST, if you are on Madeira. But beware: you should be free from giddiness.

This section takes you across stunning rock formations towards the highest peak of the island. The scenery takes on the likes of the rocky mountains and it's definitely worthwhile to head up early in the morning to see the sun rise, creating the most stunning light coloring the rocky landscape into a deep and warm purple. Although there are some steep climbs (mostly staircases), the paths are very well cultivated and maintained so should be accessible to beginners. A torch might come in handy as you traverse several tunnels.

From the highest to the third highest peak in Madeira: via high steps, through unlit tunnels, along rock faces - a dream tour. There is no way to shorten or descend - except turn around. Technically not difficult, but a head for heights is an advantage

There are a lot of stairs on the tour, so there is an increased risk of stoppers! It is best to plan 1 hour longer because the path is well-walked and you often have to avoid oncoming traffic. Even if you start very early.
