Giants played football in Goosefeld and witches met for strange rituals - this is how they used to explain to people the origins of the three large stone graves in the community. They can be found in Ravenshorst and along the road to Lehmsiek. Four barrows also still exist today.
The graves around here are all part of the funnel cup culture. The funnel beaker culture is an archaeological culture of the Neolithic period from 4300 to 4800 BC in northern Central Europe. The graves are around the time from 3400 to 3600 BC. was built. It is assumed that there were 25,000 graves in the Stone Age. "Most of them were destroyed. In Schleswig-Holstein there are still around 150 today.

The graves have been covered with a hill, so that today overgrown hills dominated their appearance. If barrows are visible, they have been uncovered and reconstructed.

Giants used to play football here. This is how people explained the formation of the megalithic tombs, which were created around 3400 to 3600 BC.

Very nice reconstruction of a typical megalithic grave.
