The former hamlet of Kirchbühl, consisting of two properties, existed from 1323 to 1880. The episcopal-Bamberg bailiwick of Wallenfels had basic and judicial authority over the two half-courts, which the Margravial-Bayreuth bailiwick of Seibelsdorf also claimed.
From 1797 to 1808 the town was under the jurisdiction of the Judicial and Chamber Office in Kulmbach. With the municipal edict of 1808, Kirchbühl was assigned to the tax district of Zeyern and in 1818 to the newly formed rural community of Geuser. After 1877 the place was no longer listed in the official gazetteers. Today only the Kirchbühl chapel from 1841 remains. The reason for the abandonment of the individual was probably a lack of water, although the two collected springs of the two nearby farms still have water today.
