The Indemann is by its size and its location, high on the Goltsteinkuppe, the highly visible symbol of the prospects that the Indeland offers its inhabitants. Its modern architecture represents the technical future of the region, its ever-changing glow in the dark for structural change in the lignite mining district, its stability for over 10,000 years of Indeland history. The 36-meter-high landmark points with its arm to the changing landscape of the Inden mine. From the numerous viewing platforms, the viewer has a far-reaching, spectacular panoramic view of the Indeland.

In order to understand the almost 40 meter high sculpture with the outstretched arm, one would have to come on site. This shows on the opencast mine, including a smaller Indemann sculpture, which was to be renatured at a later date.
