At one point, we're surprised by a large pile of stones, heaped up by hikers; we add a stone to it.
Through a clearing in the trees, we catch a glimpse of the sun shining into the valley far in the distance.
We pass the ski lift near Waltersdorf and are treated to a beautiful autumn panorama of the valley, the mountains surrounding us, and the vibrant colors of the foliage.
We reach Waltersdorf, turn around, and are struck by the eerie view of the Lausche mountain between the mist and clouds.
