"Originally dedicated to the evangelist John, the field stone church in Premslin probably dates from the first half of the 14th century and consists of a rectangular stone-frame building with a massive tower base and half-timbered tower tower. This baroque half-timbered tower (circa 1713) replaces the originally collapsed original tower. It is unique in its kind in the Prignitz because of the patterned brick lining and the Baroque octagonal lantern with weather vane from 1719. In 1883 the church was heavily overbuilt. The eastern end was removed, the nave extended and closed on new apse (new parts in brick). "- kirchenkreis-prignitz.de/premslin.html
