Since 1952, the Wartenberg family has been managing the winery in the historical location "Der Steinmeister" in Rossbach near Naumburg in the Saale-Unstrut wine-growing region. The name of the vineyard can be traced back to the Cistercian monks of the nearby Pforta monastery. This winery also belonged to the possessions of the well-known Cistercian monastery Pforta. At the top of the 3-hectare vineyard, visible from afar, is the “little tower” which dates back to the Baroque period.

The steep slopes of the "Der Steinmeister" winery are the steepest in the region, care and harvest are carried out purely by hand. A good 4 hectares are managed by the Wartenberg family who own the property.
