    From Wikipedia:
The Malgarten Monastery is a former Benedictine monastery in the Malgarten district of the Bramsche municipality in the Osnabrück district of Lower Saxony. The monastery itself was founded in 1175, originally in Essen (Oldenburg) in the district of Cloppenburg. It existed in Malgarten from 1194 until the secularization in 1803. Today the church and rectory are in church and the former monastery buildings, which are under monument protection, are privately owned. Quote end

It is heart-warming and so beautifully preserved that you simply have to look at it.
And I think the painting garden in the Malgarten monastery is funny ... with an artistic component.
    (Benedictine monastery from 1194-1803)
