The seal station was a lasting experience.

The Friedrichskoog seal station is the only authorized reception point for seals found abandoned or sick in Schleswig-Holstein. It sets new standards in the near-natural permanent housing and rearing of seals.

This station is actually a shelter and rearing station for seals in need.

However, some gray seals and harbor seals are not only reared here, but live permanently in the seal station. Unfortunately, these can no longer be released into the wild, in isolated cases they have already been born in captivity. They have not learned to feed themselves in the wild, in the North Sea and the Wadden Sea, and would starve to death if they had to take care of themselves.

The seal station in Friedrichskoog is an ideal destination for adventurers of all ages who would like to get to know these beautiful animals up close in and out of the water.

Adults and children can watch seals all year round in the natural pools with a size of 800 m² on land and under water, watch the feeding and hear interesting lectures. The "Information Center Seal" and the adventure exhibition "Seals of the World" with a wide range of information and multimedia experiences, especially for children and young people, offer many opportunities to find out more about the seals.

Directly opposite is the indoor whale game Willi, where the children can let off steam in the large whale belly or on the adventure playground after visiting the seals.

At the moment there are 5 animals that live there, well we found it appropriate for the entrance fee of 12.50 euros per person a bit thin...but well, tastes differ
