At 905 meters, the Kahleberg is the third highest elevation in the Eastern Ore Mountains and at the same time the highest mountain in the Saxon part of this mountain range. From here you can enjoy a panoramic view of Altenberg with the gallows ponds across to Saxon Switzerland, and in good weather even to the Iser and Riesengebirge. As a natural monument, the block heaps are primarily home to rare lichens and mosses. Above all, the mosses also contribute to the fact that the paths often look like the film set of a fantasy or fairy tale film. Mystical and beautiful.

Not only is the Kahleberg itself the highest mountain in Saxony's Eastern Ore Mountains, it is also geologically unique with its sea of rocks. And the view (assuming the weather is good) is fantastic.

Good vantage point to Altenberg. The Baude is unfortunately closed, but there is a food truck at proud prices. Lazy walkers can also go up with the carriage.
