In the lobby of the Philips Museum in Eindhoven is the bronze statue 'Lampenmakertje' by Jos van Riemsdijk (1915/2005) from 1966. The statue was offered by the pensioners at the 75th anniversary of the company in 1966. The global concern Philips started in 1891 with the manual manufacture of light bulbs in an old building, which is incorporated into this modern museum building. Manual production is shown in that workshop.
