Hiking

Contrary to statements to the contrary, the shootings very probably did not take place directly in the Murellenschlucht. After a site inspection in 1995 with contemporary witnesses and a topographical analysis, an area near today's ammunition depot or a sand pit in the Schanzenwald come into question.

Hiking

I would have imagined the whole thing a bit different and it doesn't fit the forest. Especially as a soldier, I would have liked more appreciation and a memorial.
