The Niederbaum Bridges are two adjacent arch bridges between Baumwall and Kehrwieder. The eastern bridge was constructed in 1957. The western bridge (1978) occupies the site of a swing bridge constructed in 1878–80, which was converted to a permanent bridge in 1911–12. The name comes from the Niederbaum, a floating wooden construction that blocked the western port entrance.
