The historic bridges in the Speicherstadt are filigree steel arch constructions from the transition from the 19th to the 20th century. The new Kibbelsteg bridges maintain the continuity of this construction method, which, even after 100 years, is constructively sensible and economically favorable in the same form, and is particularly considerate of the listed ensemble.
