The parish church in Northleach is a stunning example of a 'wool church', built mainly in the 15th century when this town was the heart of the wool trade. If you're a fan of English Perpendicular style, this is a classic of the genre.

The church of St. Peter and St. Paul is often known as 'The Cathedral of the Cotswolds'.
There has been a church on this site since at least the 13th century. The present form of the church derives from the wealth of the woollen of Northleach during the 15th century.
The town of Northleach came into existence in 1227 when henry III granted the right of a weekly market, every Wednesday and the right to hold a fair on the Feast of St Peter and for two days either side.

A truly magnificent church... known as the Cathedral of the Cotswolds. I guess the landed gentry in this area were quite well off back in the day.
