The Windeckhaus is the largest of a group of old half-timbered houses on Orchheimer Strasse, built between 1644 and 1664. Rich carving and two hanging room windows make it one of the most beautiful half-timbered houses in the Rhineland.

The house, named after Hofrat Windeck, was built between 1644 and 1664 in the style of the houses on the Middle Moselle. The builder was the wealthy businessman Paulus Pick. The elaborately painted carvings on the front of the house testify to the wealth of the builder. Hofrat Windeck did not live in the house until the 18th century. Source: Wikipedia
