This is one of the few sections of the old city wall that are still walkable. It leads from the spa gardens or from the location of the Eifel glances along the wall over the remains of the old defense tower to the Heisterbach Tor. The way is good to go though there are some steps.

This way is definitely recommended. Unfortunately, only a part of the city wall is walkable (Eifelblicke to Heisterbachtor) from otherwise you can go over large passages to the (along the inside or outside) along the fortification.
