Hiking

The Fösse is a small stream that begins at Benther Berg without an actual source and flows into the Leine in Hannover-Linden. It passes under the Lindener Hafen in Rohren for about 1 km.
In the west of Hannover, a small section of the stream has been renaturalized. Since May 2014, a small water treading area has been integrated into the stream.

Hiking

At only 8 km long, the Fösse is nevertheless a special stream, as its water is saltier than that of the North Sea. Incidentally, it has no spring, but originates from ditches flowing from the surrounding fields. Therefore, its upper reaches are often dry.
