The Guil gorges are one of the natural gateways to the Queyras national park. The torrential river has carved exceptional gorges out of the rock. This canyon, on numerous occasions, has served as a scene for filming films. Nature is felt here in its raw state.

The Guil has cut deeply in between the mountains, the rock walls rise vertically over 100 meters and sometimes the valley is narrow gorge. In the river itself you can often see whitewater canoes and rafts. Until the Maison de Roy you drive in Schluchtboden directly next to the river, from the reservoir leads the road in 100-150 meters above the river partially blown into the vertical wall.
