Until 1482, Korb did not have its own church. In 1500, the early Gothic chapel in Korb was converted into a church. The Gothic window and the valuable crucifix that are still visible today date from this period. In 1832, a new, larger nave was added on the other side of the tower. The tower was destroyed by lightning twice (1596 and 1707). After the second fire, the tower received its baroque finish that still exists today.
