A beautiful spot for a scenic break, you'll enjoy a magnificent view over the vineyards, into the Remstal valley, and all the way to Stuttgart. There's also a small playground and a barbecue area. The stone was placed at this spot following a district dispute between Strümpfelbach and Endersbach in 1793. Duke Carl Eugen of Württemberg mediated the dispute between the two communities.

Here is also the sculpture project "Five songs" - five embedded in the ground metal plates with the words: "Answer, gesture, bond, origin and transition".

The Karlstein is a memorial stone in the vineyards near Endersbach andStockelbach (both districts of Weinstadt east of Stuttgart). There is a vantage point at about 430 m above sea level, which offers a wide view of the Remstal and as far as Stuttgart. There is a barbecue area with a children's playground right on the edge of the forest. The barbecue area was created in 1992 and renovated in 2006. The swing and the seesaw, as well as two tables, were renewed in the summer of 2015.
The Karlstein goes back to a settlement of district disputes betweenStockelbach and Endersbach by Duke Carl Eugen von Württemberg in 1793, when the two places were fighting over forest ownership. In gratitude for this arbitration, a large memorial stone was erected in the forest.
