Desert "Croppenhof"In the Weistum von Sensweiler (1520-1550) it is called Freihof. The Croppenhof was owned by the Counts of Sponheim, while the village of Sensweiler belonged to the Wildgräflichen Amt Wildenburg. Refugees, including criminals, were able to find asylum for a limited time at this courtyard. The courtier could judge the refugee himself or deliver it to the wildgrave's jurisdiction. If the asylum seeker managed to put his two feet at least three paces across the courtyard and was not arrested there by persecutors from outside, he could extend his asylum period in the courtyard. The desolation of the Croppenhof was probably around the year 1800.

From about 1500 to 1800 stood here the Freihof Croppenhof of the Counts of Sponheim.
This served as asylum for criminals and persecuted. The asylum was temporary, but could be extended by a short "leave" (3 steps).
Today, only a concrete stele with metal plaque and rest benches reminds.
