On the Wietzer Berg there is a historic sheepfold from 1828. It did not always stand here, because it was only erected here in 1969 to serve as a visual object for hikers and tourists for the Lüneburg Heath. The building originally comes from a farm in the Örtzedorf Poitzen, which today belongs to the municipality of Faßberg.
