The Taubensteinhaus is a generally accessible, managed hut (category II) of the Munich section. The hut is located at 1567 meters above sea level in the Spitzingsee area below the Schönfeldsattel between Aiplspitze and Croda Rossa. The Taubensteinhaus in the well-developed Spitzingsee area is a perfect starting point in summer and winter for short hikes for families with children, for ski tours or snowshoe hikes. In the midst of the Schliersee mountains, peaks such as Jägerkamp and Taubenstein are within reach. For ambitious hikes there are numerous summit destinations such as Aiplspitz, Hochmiesing or Croda Rossa.
