The Raukopf is an inconspicuous summit of the Schliersee mountains, and is known neither as a special vantage point nor as a mountain of rank and name - its neighbors such as Aiplspitz, Jägerkamp, Taubenstein and also the not far Croda Rossa are much more popular. And although Hochmiesing and Croda Rossa block more distant views to the south and south-west, you have a superb view of the Tegernsee mountains from the (somewhat exposed) summit rock (e.g. Plankenstein and Risserkogel stand peacefully next to the Zugspitze), deep into Tyrol and also to the north to the Wendelstein and Aiplspitz. In addition, you can practically spit on the head of the Schönfeldalmen and also have a view down into the Spitzingsee area with the Firstalmen and the curve lift. Conclusion: The climb is definitely worth it!
