There is a lot going on during the weekends, but the path from the Taubenstein to the Rotwandhaus is rocky and slippery then wide and with a beautiful view

1885 m summit, the Rotwandhaus is a great mountain inn, also to stay top. Even with a shower and a great Kaiserschmarrn!

Beautiful view
Walk well, even with children, only the last end a bit impractical
Food optimal at the Rotwandhaus below, great kitchen

A nice summit where you should not be surprised if someone comes to you with high heels. The loneliness one looks for in vain

In these Corona times, there are also considerable waiting times at the drinks / food counter on normal weekdays. The hut wasn't full, but we stood in line for 45 minutes. Half the time outside - then in line inside. From an organizational point of view, the ordering / serving of food in this hut has always been in need of improvement in my personal opinion, but in these times it is still topped. Many guests left or ate their own snacks. WHAT A SHAME

Beautiful panoramic mountain and at 1884 m the highest mountain in Lk Miesbach.
On a nice day with a hair dryer you can see the Glockner in the east, the Olperer in the south and the Zugspitze in the west.

For the Rotwand summit you have to be less free from giddiness than for the Taubenstein summit

Breathtaking view that is more than rewarding for the climb!

The Rotwand is 1884 m above sea level. NHN the highest point in the district of Miesbach and the highest mountain in the Bavarian part of the Mangfall Mountains and thus also the highest peak in the Spitzingsee area. It belongs to the municipality of Bayrischzell, although the mountain is one of the Schlierseer Mountains.

A very nice summit. Everything was white today. Was a dream. Great distant view.
November 22, 2020
A worthwhile goal, especially in winter
December 5, 2020
Wonderful peaks and great views. You can either stop off at the Rotwandhaus or go straight up to the top.

Especially recommended on cloudy days. It is not uncommon to be beautiful above the clouds.
