Hiking

The Hohe Fels is a remarkable place just because of its rock nose, which protrudes as a spur over the plateau of the Schafberg. Be careful not to plunge into the depths here. While the view extends over to the Feldberg on good days, the Plettenberg is usually easy to see. I find the fall just north of the rock more beautiful. A deep notch from which a gnarled beech tree grows majestically. Wild and adventurous. One would like to climb, look at the rock from below, and yet leave the dangerous undertaking in the steep terrain.
