The Maschpark in Hanover's Mitte district is a 10-hectare park south of the old town. It was built around 1900 and was the first municipal park in Hanover. The plant has not changed its original form and is a testimony of the German garden art of the late 19th century. In the north of the Maschpark is limited by the Friedrichswall. Between Maschteich and Friedrichswall 1913, the New Town Hall was completed.Source: Wikipedia

The Maschpark is a typical garden from the end of the 19th century. The quiet, discreet plant of the Maschpark is a good example of the "mixed" garden concept of this time, consisting of several different horticultural styles. The 0.1 km ² large Maschpark with its central large pond, the picturesque bridge and the meandering paths, was created in connection with the New Town Hall and the State Museum. The main feature of the park is the pond with its many beech trees along the shore.hannover-park.de/maschpark1.htm

The machine park was planned around 1900 together with the construction of the new town hall and was completed in 1913. It is the first public "Bürgerpark" in the city of Hanover.
The center of the park is an artificial pond, which narrows under an arch bridge and then merges into a second basin.
The paths mostly lead along the bank, and from different points of view there are beautiful views of the park and the New Town Hall of the city of Hanover.
The sculpture "Scottish Cross" by Henry Moore stands on an elevated viewpoint.
The Maschpark is the link between the city center and the Leineaue.
The park has been a listed building for many years and, together with the town hall, is a popular destination for locals and visitors to the city.
