The Abbey of Saint Hubertus has owned the territory of Anseremme since the beginning of the 9th century. She owned a farm there, which was rebuilt in the 16th and 17th centuries and was used by the monks as a country retreat.
Only the second bay of the nave (1780) of the parish church of Saint Martin, which was built against the farm, has survived.
