In 1934 the tower was repaired and in 1989 the bell tower was covered with stainless steel, which gives the tower its shiny appearance and it looks like a lighthouse on Lake Geneva.
The tip is covered with golden leaves from one of the last gold millers in France in Excenevex, near Yvoire.

Outside stunning, especially by the shiny tower roof, inside surprisingly sober.

The church dates from the 15th century and has been enlarged several times from an original church which was based on the city walls and corresponded to the old sacristy.
