The stone church was built in the second quarter of the 13th century. In the 14th century, the church patronage lay with the family of Wulffen. During the Thirty Years War, the place fell almost desolate; the church was badly damaged. Adolf von Wulfen campaigned for a rebuilding of the church. Among other things, around 1745 the congregation had the windows renewed and a square tower tower built. This was restored in 1994. At the same time craftsmen built a sacristy with a patronage box on the southern side of the choir.Source and further information: Wikipedia de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dorfkirche_Tempelberg
