Favorite Rock on the Murg

The rock on the other side of the Murg is the favorite rock. Info from the website about the nature reserve of the same name:The Murg has created an impact slope in the area of the favorite rock and thus modeled the rock. The rock consists of the rock "red lying" which was deposited about 300 to 250 million years ago. Idyllically located on the Murg, the favorite rock is a geotope and part of a nature reserve in which a special world of herbs and plants has developed.Numerous holes in the rock are evidence of the raftsmen's time. Tree trunks were anchored in the holes to hold back the rafts. Hörden was a temporary storage area during the heyday of the raftsmen in the 19th century.
