Great, mostly little-traveled ascent from Au up to Niklasreuth. With gradients of up to 12% and a short intermediate descent, it is the best bypass of the busy Feilnbach - Hundham route. Due to the north-facing and shady location, it remains humid for a long time if it has rained before or often only dries very slowly in spring and autumn. Be careful on the descent.
