In 2012, De Lucchi built a chapel that combines his design experience, his architectural and craftsmanship skills. The sketches and ideas for a building that has now been realized grew out of small wooden models that he sawed out of pieces of wood as prototypes on the theme of "house". A private client saw the models and wanted a chapel based on these models. The delicate 15 square meter building now stands in the middle of a meadow in Fischbachau, Bavaria. A gently rising area that opens up the view of the Alpine foothills. In different directions you can see the peaks of the Alps, Rosenheim and, on particularly clear days, the Bavarian Forest.

The Auerberg chapel is a new chapel that allows the old tradition of the court chapels to live on in modern times. The chapel stands on a variant of the Way of St. James.
This court chapel was designed by the Italian architect Michele de Lucchi in 2012 and is dedicated to Saint James.
