The Great Deffernik is a left tributary of the Great Regen, which flows from the Czech border to Ludwigsthal, where it flows into the Great Regen. Here at this point you can cross the stream over a bridge and on the right side of the Great Deffernik there is a fountain, from where you can walk up on a small path to the Schwellsteig.
