The Haus zur Wildnis (House of Wilderness) is the central point of contact in the heart of the Bavarian Forest National Park in the Regen district. It forms the focal point of the Falkenstein National Park Center. Its unique architecture alone is fascinating, as even from the interior, it always offers a view of the 1,315-meter-high Grosser Falkenstein. During the redesign of the permanent exhibition, exciting temporary exhibitions will be presented in the main hall. The cycle of birth, growth, and decay is particularly impressively visible in the root passage. Visitors wander underground through the soil layers and discover the microorganisms that live there. Our mascot, Schratzl, accompanies children to clever adventure and play stations.
