The ruin is always freely accessible. A staircase leads to the preserved part of the shield wall, from where there is a beautiful view over the surrounding forest and the Neckar valley. If it is a bit shady down in the castle, you may have a sunny spot for a little rest up here.

In the bailey there is also a flowing wooden well and a large barbecue area with unfortunately a bit sparse seating. But surely everyone will find a place on the walls and stairs all around. Especially since the ruin does not seem overly crowded.

It is possible to go directly to a tower via (steel) stairs - the view here is wonderful.

Beautiful castle ruins. In the lower area there is a fountain. If you take the trouble and climb the stairs, you will enjoy a wonderful view.

Part of the castle can be visited despite the "risk of falling rocks", ie the inner courtyard. You can also take a nice break here.

Detour is not necessary, the castle is located on the Neckarsteig and the hiker passes it.
Up on the castle wall is a great Vesperplatz. The treetops are close enough to touch. At all in and around the ruin are noteworthy trees.

Quite well-preserved castle ruins of a hill castle built around 1200.
There is a walk-in tower, but the view is very limited by the surrounding trees.

The steel staircase is not necessarily everyone's thing. Who can .. it's worth it ...

Unfortunately, the main castle is currently closed, so you can not even on the wall or the tower.
The foothill with the barbecue area and the fountain is accessible.

Castle ruins in itself eight beautiful (located). Only: "Until further notice because of danger of falling rocks closed" and secured with an insurmountable;) fence. The Holzbrunnen does not exist at the moment, but is probably new. STAND: 19.7.2019

Not as potable designated water source. We used it for cooking and pure drinking, the taste was impeccable.

Stolzeneck Castle is the ruin of a hilltop castle above the Meckar near Eberbach in Baden Württemberg. The castle, built around 1200, was given to servants of the Count Palatinate from 1284 as a Lurpfalz fief. After 1610 the castle and the associated castle hamlet Krösselbach were given up.
Beautifully located and easy to reach on foot or by bike.

The outdoor area with barbecue area and fountain is accessible. The ruin itself cannot be entered at the moment due to the risk of falling rocks (see photo).

... at the moment (07.11.2020) the ruin is unfortunately closed; an inspection of the inner courtyard is therefore not possible ...
