A section of the earth's surface collapsed.
A sinkhole is a funnel-shaped depression in the earth's surface, formed by the collapse of a natural cavity in the subsurface. This is caused by the dissolution of easily soluble rocks (rock salt, gypsum, limestone) underground.
The sinkhole is located on private property; please refrain from entering the property.
