The wreck shown in the picture is the "Capella", a former restaurant ship and smoking ship, as well as the last war fishing cutter in the port of Eckernförde.
The ship sank in the harbor basin in May 2026 and was salvaged by the THW shortly thereafter.
The blue, heavily damaged wreck now lies on land in the harbor promenade area, awaiting its scrapping.
The city of Eckernförde has estimated costs of around 95,000 euros for salvage and disposal, although the exact timing of the demolition still depends on legal proceedings.
