The Bismarck Column, inaugurated as a column of fire in 1906, offers a magnificent panoramic view over the city all the way to the slopes of the Lößnitz River. From 2003 to 2008, the structure was renovated by the Bismarckturm Dresden e.V. association and opened to the public.

The Bismarck Column (also called the Bismarck Tower) in Dresden-Räcknitz is a 23-meter-high Bismarck monument. It is part of the Bismarck myth around 1900 and the associated monument boom of that time. From this point, you can enjoy a beautiful view of Dresden. A 158-step staircase leads inside to an observation platform, from which, in good weather, a panoramic view of the entire Elbe Valley, Saxon Switzerland, and the heights of the Eastern Ore Mountains is possible.Accessible in all weather conditions.Benches are also available.A lovely place to linger.de.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bismarcks%C3%A4ule_(Dresden-R%C3%A4cknitz)
