The Ruhr Valley Cycle Route is more than 150 kilometers long and leads from the Ruhrquelle in Winterberg to the confluence with the Rhine to Duisburg.
This section here is especially nice. You drive parallel to the Ruhr and you have the whole time view of the river, which is already considerably broad. Great, how many birds populate the shore: In the morning, especially in the spring is here "really something going on"!
The Ruhrtal cycle path is completely paved on this section. Since it is one of the most popular cycling routes in Germany, there is good cycling traffic in good weather.

It's actually unbelievable how idyllic it can be in the Ruhr area if you're not from here. Really very beautiful and natural.
